Waaaaaaay Behind

Okay, so I know that it's been MONTHS since I was last bloggin, but I'm here and to be honest I don't have enough time to post everything that I've done since the last.  But I do have acouple things that are quick to share.  They're kinda jumbled, so just hanging in there with me. ;)

Okay so, this was the Birthday card that I made for my Mother InLaw.  I had fun distressing everything and putting the flower together.  Hank (my Father InLaw) was just amazed and couldn't figure out how I made the flower.  Ohhhh how I love my cricut.  It never ceases to let me down. ;)

I do have to admit that because of this one card, I was able to justify to Chris the "necessity" of haveing the Art Philosophy Cartridge.  Don't think he really bought the "need" for it, but he always spoils me and hence, it's already in the mail.  I SOOOOO LOVE that man!!!!!

So this is a Knitting Needle Holder.  I came across a brief pattern for it in a quilting magazine last year and really wanted to make acouple for my friends who knit.  Then of course, I found a passion for knitting and realize that I have already had Cody, AND I was going to see my friends in a week, AND I had to make 5 of these, PLUS put together the beginning template.

Needless to say, I didn't get all of them done, but I do think that it turned out great.  I decided that they are recieving them as Christmas Gifts.  I have toyed with the idea of making acouple to sell at the craft fairs and on Etsy.  Not that long to put together and I love that I can change the color and pattern, like that!!  =)

They call this block the "Pioneer Star".  Not a huge fan of it, but it does show off nicely whiled rolled up.  The finished size of this Needle Case is, 14in x 14in.  With every comparment filled, it's about 2in thick.  So it stores nicely with all my knitting supplies.

There are 12 needle comparments here.  Mostly what I have are DPN's (Double Pointed Needles), so this worked GREAT for storing them all together and not keeping them seperated and misplaced in the plastic casings.  The compartment furthest to the right is wider than all the rest, and it fits PERFECT for my circular needles.  Thought I might have got the pattern wrong (and to be honest I did), but I LOVE my mistake because now all my circular's are together too!!  Think I'll have to keep this "mistake".
